Micro-Milling - smooth milled surface for safety and maintenance procedures. Micro milling is a method of asphalt surface milling our company has adopted for maintenance purposes. A modified cutting mandrel with the tool tip spacing of ¼ inch (6. 35 mm.) mills a surface smoother than conventional milling. The micro-milled surface can be left as a finished surface with greater skid resistance and reduced hydroplaning. In situations where asphalt has pushed or heaved into ruts micro milling can be used to reinstate the profile of the road while leaving the road structure intact.
